TRIBAL PROMOTION PROGRAMS
The Nilgiri Hills is home to some unusual tribal groups including the Toda, Kota, Badaga and Kurumba. NDS promotes the formation of Self Help Groups for tribal development. Through the formation of SHGs, we facilitate the tribals to avail the government programmes more efficiently and effectively. This is a novel step towards the development of tribals as a good part of the tribal development funds get unutilised in every five year plans.
